The Naïade unit will give up to 5 liters per minute of treated water if the tank is filled.
The Solar Panel will generate sufficient electricity during cloudy days to operate the unit. The built-in back-up car battery will ensure production of safe water during dawn or dusk and heavy monsoon.
The filters will clog more rapidly and may have to be washed more frequently; in extreme cases it may be advisable to use a sedimentation tank or trough with filter cloth such as a sari or sarong to settle/remove the solids before pouring the water in the tank.
The filters are of robust material and can be washed many times; if handled carefully they should last more than two years.
The lamp will last for 3 years if the unit is used during day-light only, or 2 years if used with back-up battery.
The filters must be washed when flow capacity is dropping or unit overflows when filling; the solar panel must be kept dust-free by rinsing/wiping; we recommend to subscribe to a maintenance program offered by the local dealer to control/maintain the unit at least once every 6 months to guarantee a long and trouble-free life of the unit.
Built-in electronics will register the used time of the lamp and a light on the front of the unit will indicate when the lamp needs to be replaced by the dealer.
The built-in valve will not open if the lamp is not working or the filters are not in place.
Filters can be replaced by the original spare filters by the user; the UV lamp has to be replaced by a qualified local dealer.
All components are designed and tested to last for more than 10 years under tropical conditions except the filters and UV lamp that are consumables.
